On 15 October 2026, TESTEX awarded Wuxi Dipu Textile Technology Co., Ltd. an OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate with expanded product scope. This certification update applies to sewing threads and yarns, falling under Product Class II as defined in Appendix 4.
End customers focus on material composition, specifications and processing technologies, while attaching great importance to the control of harmful substances where textiles come into contact with human skin. With this certification expansion, we connect testing objectives, certificate applicability and practical procurement, illustrating the significance of this qualification for material selection.
The updated certificate covers a broader range of certified products. Previously, our OEKO-TEX certificate only included meta-aramid sewing threads. The new scope extends to sewing threads and yarns made from meta-aramid, aramid IIIA, or their blends with viscose, as well as modified acrylic cotton yarns.
Product status is clearly specified within the scope:
The above sewing threads and yarns include raw white variants, dope-dyed options (green, black, navy blue etc.), and yarns dyed with cationic and reactive dyes.
Flame-retardant acrylic cotton yarns cover raw white products and items dyed via the methods listed on the certificate.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a globally recognised testing and certification system for harmful substances in textiles. It covers parameters including formaldehyde, extractable heavy metals, pH value and applicable colour fastness. The accredited test institute develops tailored test schemes based on material composition, product category and production details.
Products under STANDARD 100 are classified by intended use and skin contact level. Class II, as stated on our certificate, refers to products intended for direct skin contact.
For end consumers, garments are in frequent daily contact with skin, making harmful substance control critical. The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) notes that certain textile chemicals may cause allergic contact dermatitis among sensitised groups, though such cases are uncommon. Assessing these risks enables more informed, responsible material sourcing.
This certificate serves as independent, verifiable third-party proof of restricted harmful substances. For brands and purchasers, a valid certificate matching your target materials helps validate chemical compliance, review supplier qualifications and pass clear certification information down the supply chain. Where project specifications require STANDARD 100 compliance, buyers must confirm that supplied materials are within the certificate scope and the product class matches the intended application.
Four key points should be checked during verification:
Confirm the certificate holder is correct
Confirm the required material is included in the certified scope
Confirm the product class matches the end-use scenario
Confirm the certificate remains valid
You may verify this certificate via the Label Check portal on the official OEKO-TEX® website, using certificate number: SH005 254363.After online validation, cross-reference the full certificate document against the composition, colour and processing description of your target products to support clear and accurate communication.
For Dipu Textile, this scope expansion brings formal OEKO-TEX certification to a wider range of custom sewing threads and yarns. By publishing transparent scope information and clarifying certificate functions, we support supply chain partners to select materials based on reliable, auditable compliance data.
